He's still trying to find his footing in it when a drunk driver kills his wife — and walks free.

In the wreckage of that grief, his former comrades come to him with an offer: help us, and we'll get you justice. Jeff takes the deal. He hunts down the man who took the only woman he ever loved, and delivers a reckoning of his own making. In return, he gives his old unit exactly what they need — the means to overthrow the United States government.
